Like the ol' days... it was just like the good ol'days.... it used to be semester vacations.. I used 2wake up at 6 in the morning. get out of the house evenb4 the sun gets up. take the 1st bus, and head towardsthe stadium.

I wasnt the only 1, thr were a few fanatics like me,who wud also be thr. then we used 2 play cricket tillthe sun was high above our heads. We wud then go backhome 4 lunch. watch cricket on tv in the afternoon, and be in the stadium in the evening once again....the morning'n'evening walkers wud go abt with tht lookon their faces.. "Oh!! Its those geeks again..."
those were the days....

and 3 years after doing that, my friends and I decidedto start the routine once again. so off v set thismorning, to play cricket, ready to be called geeks agn...

v found a patch of ground which was free of cow andhuman shit, and started 2 play.

the second ball of the day flew into the neighbourscompound. and...... after all those accusations ofinvading their privacy and tht v wud b complained tothe police, and blah..blah... yawn !!! v ver sent outwithout the ball. man..how cheap cud ppl get. if hewanted 2 play with the ball, he cud have as welljoined us.

the next 15 mins went with waiting for the 1st shop 2opoen, so tht v cud buy another 1. exactly 2 ballslater, came a loud thud. no...it wasnt the scud frmIraq.... It was just the bat coming down hard on myfoot. u ever heard of tht saying, 'apne pairon pekulhaadi maarna..' well thts exactly wht happened...The pain was too much to bear, and am sure any lesserman wud have gone into a coma.

and hence u see me sitting here in a browsing centrefretting and complaining with an injured foot, when Ishud be alongwith my ex-colleagues playing a match.

well !! thanx for listening anyways!! u have been great.

All this brings to mind a line on a t-shirt we hadmade in college.
