Man blows up apartment spraying for bugs: A New Jersey man trying to kill insects in his apartment blew it up instead, the New York Daily News reported. Isias Maceda was unhurt in the incident, but 80% of his apartment was destroyed. The accident occurred as Maceda was spraying for pests in his kitchen. Somehow the bug spray ignited a blast that triggered a fire.

And yet another -
Men sentenced for setting friend’s crotch ablaze: Two practical jokers are behind bars for setting their passed-out drinking buddy’s crotch ablaze while boozing in Grover Beach. The men poured cologne on Elliot Tuleja’s groin and set him on fire.

Today is the penultimate day of my tenure at MphasiS. I will be joining the Ibibo group (ibibo.com, dwaar.com, bixee.com, onefamily.com, ...) next week/month. So, product company it is for me again, after serving close to fourteen months in the services environment.

I walked through my slam book in the morning (actually it's a diary turned into a scribbling pad); a collection of witty-senti-wishy-washy memoirs; with some chocolate wrappers and cartoons stuck here-and-there for effect. Myriad emotions passed; from nostalgia to hysterical laughter. Was even flabbergasted by some of the things written.

Five years in IT.. Five years have just whooshed past. Can still feel the butterflies in my stomach when I came into Tally the first day... Can still remember the feeling - wanting to shape the world... Can still remember drawing out my first salary from the ATM; and blowing it off; poof!!!

And here I am now, five years later; not as young; but hopefully wiser... Only time will tell...

I am in office early, I am on leave, and so, that doesn't necessitate me to be working. I am reading the newspaper over the internet. I absently open the calculator and do a quick calculation. Oh WoW!! I am over 10000 days old!! Do I take a bow?!!?

And those of you who are feeling guilty of not wishing me on my birthday (28th of March); my words to you are - You are absolutely right in feeling that way!! You are damn right guilty!!!
