Diwali on the first of March...

Another page added to the bangalore diary. and whatbetter occassion to do it than after watching theindo-pak match.

For all those cricket fanatics like me it was a treatto watch. Cricket at its best. we have seen some ofthe best matches of our lives already in this worldcup, and by God, ikts only just started. Make nomistake, the best is yet to come.

It was an early diwali for most of us here in india. The sky was lit up with crackers of all kinds. the dinof the crackers was.....well...like the din ofcrackers....thr ver processions taken on the roads with pplshouting slogans. ppl hugging each other, though theyare perfect strangers.
even in my room, every carress of sachin's bat, everydive the indians made, every wicket tht the indianstook, resulted in hysterical whistling, and clappingamongst us all.

Amazing wht emotions this sport seems 2 generateamonsgt tne masses. i suppose more than the sport thistime, it was the ppl taking part in it. or shud i daresay, the countries taking part.
Did the ppl react as much during tht historical winagainst the aussies in the Eden Gardens? I doubt it. and I doubt if the ppl vil react as much even if vewin the world cup.

Somewhr in the middle, while watching the match, iheard in my mind, my good ol' friend frm collegesaying those words.

"The future of India is bright Rithish....""bright....bright....ORANGE"

;D
